Annual Symposium for Recent Advances in Photonics in Ottawa

On April 10, IEEE Ottawa AP/MTT Joint Chapter and Photonics Society (LEOS) are co-sponsoring the Annual Symposium for Recent Advances in Photonics. Also speaking at this event will be Prof. Katsumi Kishino from Sophia University, Japan. Prof. Kishino will be presenting a paper entitled “GaN-based Nanocolumn Emitters and related Technologies.”

Extreme Photonics – NanoPhotonics Summer School (April 30-May 5, 2012)
The Extreme Photonics Summer School will be held again this year from April 30-May 5, 2012 and will this year be focussed on NanoPhotonics. This summer school program serves as an excellent opportunity for graduate and post-doctoral fellows to be introduced to the field of photonics. In addition to participating in exciting workshops, participants will also be able to interact with leading Canadian and international lecturers in the fundamental and applied aspect of: photonic crystals, quantum dots, surface plasmons, sub-wavelength microscopy, and applications of nanophotonics.
Costs: To participate in the summer school it is either $100 to register fully for all events of the five (5) days or $50 to register for each separately.

Call for Volunteers and Event: L’Expo-sciences Hydro Quebec
